This is one for the beer drinkers out there!
Anyone who has a passing interest in beer can’t help but have noticed the explosion of breweries and beer styles in the UK over the last few years. Most pubs now have a wider selection of cask and bottle beers than ever before, and the options are almost mind boggling!
We normally taste a wide selection of properly made beers - from around the world. They are all produced in the old-fashioned way - ie bottle conditioned, live beers made from quality specialist hops, & specialist malts, not to be confused with the anaemic, tasteless, & pasteurised offerings produced by the large commercial breweries - that pass for beer in a lot of our bars and pubs!
A Beer Tasting also makes a great gift for anyone who likes good beer!
Good indicators of real beer are the depth of fruity, yet bitter hop flavours present in your pint, its smoky, malt-spiked finish, as well as a gentle snail’s trail of tiny bubbles on the head and a faint spritz on the tongue.
You will also learn how beer is made and how the different types of malt & hops affect that all-important taste.
